hybrid art exhibition

August 6–22, 2013
Central Exhibition Hall Manezh

The fourth annual Lexus Hybrid Art exhibition opened in August, this time  it took place in one of the hottest spaces in the city - Grand Manege. If last year the curators of Lexus Hybrid Art had gathered science art pieces in the center of design ARTPLAY, reflecting the synergy of art and science, this year Lexus is interested in the emotional component of contemporary art, interactivity, and ultimately, the delight and amusement of the visitor. The program includes a maze of video projections created by Hidemi Nishida and Teppei Koseki; flower-robots by Frenchman David Letellier; installation Octocloud manipulated by smartphones created by the art group SuperUber; live shadows from a frequent guest of the Museum of Modern Art (New York) - Philip Worthington; unexpected reflection in the Mirror Eye Tracking - an art object from a winner of two important Prix Ars Electronica awards - Julius von Bismack; 3D-water projection created by Marco Brambilla, a star of American video art and the author of the "Destroyer" starring Wesley Snipes and Stallone.
